Hamilton’s German Village is one of Hamilton’s 17 Strong Neighborhoods, a nine square block historic district that was the first residential area outside of Fort Hamilton. It remains one of our city’s most beautiful and charming areas, a convenient and special place to work, to shop, to eat, to drink, to relax, to attend concerts, to worship, to read, to bike ride, to live.
It encompasses the blocks between Dayton Lane and Hensel Place, reaching from Martin Luther King Boulevard to the Great Miami River. There are red brick sidewalks, historic lampposts, and lighted arches. An exciting Third Street plaza is currently under construction.

Since 1976, a neighborhood association, called Hamilton’s German Village, Inc. has been meeting, holding picnics, concerts, clean-up days, pub crawls, festivals, progressive dinners and an annual Christmas walk. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm at the association’s Carriage House at 131 Village Street.
